Four Months Old and Fully Vaccinated! Toronto Parks, Here I Come!

Well hello, what's new with you? What's new with me is that I have new antibodies! How 'bout dem apples? Lets start from the beginning of my weekend. Thursday night Poppa came over again and we went to see the Dairy Queen. It's my new favorite hangout joint! Poppa starting calling me Butterscotch Ripple because I have a light beige stripe down my back. Poppa says I'm a skunk but what does he know? It's my racing stripe! Anyway, in honour of me, he bought a butterscotch sundae! The parentals were once again stuffing their faces and poor old me had to watch. Suddenly, Poppa had a sudden moment of weakness and suckered Mommy into letting me taste the butterscotch! Mommy said yes only because of the stripe, I know it. Poppa put a dollop on his finger tip and Mommy made him take off the majority of it and what I was given was basically a trace of that stuff. Whatever! It was soooo potent that I lost my mind! It was the most derrrricous thing I had ever tasted!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! I begged and pleaded for more but they said NO!!!!!! What a tease! On Friday, they took me to Dr.Judy's office. I don't like that place because I always get an ouchie, but at the same time I like it because I get to meet other animals. That day I got to meet the resident cat Pushkin. He sleeps all day and wakes up only to donate his blood for other cats in need. He was nice to me and let me sniff him and sit next to him. I wanted to cuddle with him but I was scared. I also met other dogs and cats but they weren't as interesting as Pushkin. Before leaving, I endured a big needle to put a microchip in between my shoulders. Mommy declared me a robot when that was done. Dr. Judy also gave me three needles in my bum and clipped my nails. I also got more heartworm prevention medication. When Mommy, Poppa and I were walking back to the subway station, I needed to pee so bad that I just went all over the middle of the sidewalk. There was sooo much pee pee that it trickled into the street. I felt really guilty because it wasn't on my pee pad at home but then Mommy started to praise me and call me a good good boy and rubbed my back and sides. I had never done that pee peeing on the street before and apparently it is a good thing! Poppa left us after the subway ride so Mommy and I rode the bus alone. I met a little girl and her Mommy. The little girl was adorable and so gentle with me! I liked her instantly. Her Mommy was so nice too. Mommy told Poppa that the girl was one of the prettiest and cutest little girls she has ever seen and her Mommy was sooooooooo nice. I agree but I hope I'm the cutest! Mommy rolls her eyes when I ask her. On Saturday, Mommy left early for class and came back with her friend Diana! I really like her but she was paranoid that I would nip at her feet and hands because of my itchy teeth. I won't lie, I did try for a nibble....just a nibble!!! The next day the family left early to have breakfast and I got to sleep in (after breakfast of course!). When Mommy came back she brought me a new carrier and nylabone! My favorite! I kinda miss my old crate but this new one is nice and I just need to work my smell into it. She hasn't changed my bed yet but I think she is planning to. This morning I didn't really want to go for a walk but I reluctantly dragged my feet after Mommy. We were on our way back when all of a sudden I really needed to doodie!!! I didn't know what to do so I just squatted and doodied!!! Again, I felt guilty because it wasn't on the pad but then Mommy started calling me a good boy again! I had never doodied outside but I must remember to if Mommy likes it! Next time I hope I get a treat!!! Ah, yes, Mommy is very excited to take me to the park because I have all of my vaccinations. However, she is very upset because some mean and nasty person has poisoned some of my doggy peeps at High Park by putting anti-freeze in the drinking fountain. Mommy loves High Park so she is pretty furious. I don't really worry about drinking contaminated water because Mommy always brings me my Sigg bottle and a stainless steel doggy cup, but who knows what can happen. Some laced sausages is also bad. I hope you like my pictures, I just wanted to show off my new carrier, some adult teeth and how I tidy up my toys. Mommy thinks it is funny that I line up my toys when I am done playing with them. You know, cleanliness is next to dogliness.

Things to Do, Places to Go, People (and other dogs) to see

Hiya! Well, another full couple of weeks for me. Lets see, where did we stop off? Well, the day after my last blog, Mommy and Poppa took Cousin Rufus and myself for a super duper long walk after supper. Poppa kept saying that we had to go and see the Queen or something. I was a bit reluctant because Priscilla Queen of the Desert wasn't exactly me favorite movie, although the soundtrack rocks! "I've been to Nice, and the Isle of Greece, while I sipped champagne on a yacht!" You know that song! One of my all time favorites! Sorry, I digress....so, after much walking, we stopped at Dairy Queen, ohhh!!!! Momma, Cousin Rufus and I waited outside while Poppa went inside to order a treat. He came back out with what looked like a dream!!!! It smelled soooo heavenly but Momma said that I wasn't allowed to have any coco or chalklit, something like that. I've never wanted to eat anything more! Well, after Mommy and Poppa stuffed their faces like pigeons, we were on our way back home. I saw a DQ container on the sidewalk and tried to eat it. Then we ran into a kid who asked if I was a Scottie! Kid, please! W-E-S-T-I-E! Well, we were almost home when I decided enough was enough and let out a long yawn! Poppa had to carry me the rest of the way home! Hehehehehehehe! Well, the day after that Auntie went on vacation, she went to Bemudda or something like that and then Cousin Rufus went to stay with the other parental again. They are coming back next weekend, I cannot wait to see them! Mommy and Poppa went to Woofstock and got a lot of free samples, which I am not allowed to have because I'm not big enough and because I will get soupy poopie if I eat strange food. However, Poppa got me an I-Cube which is my favorite toy and Mommy got me a fleece ball that is supposed to clean my teeth. Purina also gave away red fleece heart shaped blankies and they brought two home for me. I love them so much! Poppa says I look good in red. Other than that the week was pretty low key until this weekend! On Friday at about 12:30am I started to frow up my food. Then mommy let me drink my water because she didn't know any better. I kept frowing up so Mommy and Grampa took me to the emergency clinic. It was about 2:30am when we got there and by the time I saw the scary doctor I had frowed up 25 times! He examined me, had to put me in settle once ( I was so scared I soupied a little on the table) and then gave me a needle in the bum to help my tummy. He wanted Mommy to leave me over night so they could run tests and Mommy said NO WAY JOSE! Well, that is what I was thinking and Mommy listened. Mommy thinks it was a reaction to my parasite medicine. Two weeks ago I had to frow up when I had it, not as much but I think twice. This time on Thursday night I had a stronger dose of it. When we got back Mommy wasn't allowed to give me any drink or food for six hours. After that I was getting small quantities of both several times a day. Now I am almost back to normal. Yesterday Grandma's Mommy was packing because she is moving house. We went there to help but it was sooo hot! Mommy didn't realize how miserable it was going to be. Luckily she brought my crate and let me lay in there with the fan blowing in. So nice and breezy! We also went for a few walks, met Mommy's friend Diana who is going to stay the night with us next weekend! I love slumber parties! This morning I was sunbathing on the deck before breakfast when all of a sudden I heard a loud strange noise from the next door neighbour's house! I was so scared I ran all the way to the other side of the deck and almost crashed into the bbq! Mommy came out to help me inmestigate and we saw a big rottweiller! Where did it come from???? They didn't have a dog!!!! The kid from the house came out and told Mommy that he was hiding it from his parents who don't know it is there! The dog followed him all the way home from ten blocks away! It was hungry and thirsty and sad, so Mommy and Grandpa helped the kid by giving him a bag of dog food and filling his water bowl with our hose when the kid wasn't there. They kept calling it "Boy" when I knew it was a girl! Finally Mommy told the kid to check when she stood up and when he did, he saw that she was indeed a she! Mommy also gave her a big squeaky toy for big dogs and she loved it! She is carrying it around in her mouth. Well, I hope the kid finds her owner because she seems really sad. He called the humane society and they said that they would pick her up. The kid seems really hesitant like he doesn't want to give her up but I know he'll do the right thing. I want her to be happy and to have more toys and treats. I'll let you know what happens.

Long Time No See!

Hello again!
Today Poppa made a very astute observation that I had not written a thing since May 25. Well, that is because Mommy was sick for a while and I had to take care of her. She could barely breathe out of one nostril and had a hacking cough one night. She disturbed my slumber for several nights and I protested by kicking my crate and whining. She really didn't care and carried on with her noisy ways. Soooo inconsiderate! One day after work last week Mommy and Grandma took Cousin Rufus and I up to Woodbridge to visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. G-Grandpa must've been some crazy dog trainer back in the day because I barely nipped at his hand and he put me in this crazy settle position. Harder than Mommy's! I wasn't hurt at all but I also couldn't move a single paw! Anyway, Cousin Rufus and I enjoyed the breeze in the car very much. I can't wait until I'm tall enough to put my head out the window and snap at the wind.....sigh.... Oh! I was allowed to play on grass for the very first time! They take very good care of their yard there so it was nice and clean so Cousin Rufus and I were allowed to run and run and run for sooo long out there. Mommy eventually made me go back inside when it was almost time to leave. I was very sad and she had to lure me with ice cream. She didn't give me any though, I think it was because I took too long to respond to it. I don't remember if I have already written about it, but Mommy taught me how to "Gimme Paw." It was a lot of fun to learn because I got yummy bite sized salmon treats! My favorite! The omega oil in it is good for my fur too! Whatever that means! I heard the people folk talking about it. Also, last week Dr.Judy's office called Mommy at work and told her I have a parasite that horses typically get. Don't know how that happened but I have to take medicine for it. I took one pill last week and have to wait until next week for the second dose. I really don't mind because it means that I get peanut butter! Cousin Rufus likes it also because I can't be given p-butter without him getting some! On the weekend Mommy gave me a bath. I HATE taking a bath! I was so upset that I hiccuped the whole time and then shivered for half an hour afterwards. I made Mommy carry me around for a while wrapped in a towel. Starting yesterday morning at breakfast I am getting an extra quarter cup of food per meal. Yummy! Well, I think I've covered all the exciting parts of the week. Aside from that I've been focusing on eating, sleeping, and growing. Oh, and wrestling with Cousin Rufus. We're training for doggy UFC.
