Lonely Day, Exciting Night

Wow, what a Wednesday! Today Mommy went back to work after the shortest of short mat leaves! She was worried about me all day, sending me mental messages to behave. What a pill! She left me for about ten hours today! She took a little longer because she had to go to K-9 Couture to buy me pills for my coprophagia. I think that's how you spell it. I mean, I can't help it if my poop smells de-lish! Well, when Mommy got home from work she was relieved to find her room in one piece. The only thing askew was my crate. I pulled on the rug so it ended up a little crooked. I hadn't ingested anything and I didn't have an obstructions in my belly like she was paranoid about. You wanna hear about scary? Mommy cut the fur on her head today. I didn't even recognize her. I had to sniff at her and blink a couple of times to be sure it was Mommy. Anyhow, her and grampa went to Crappy Tire and bought me an exercise pen. I don't like it already, I tried to bite it as soon as it was up. I guess I'll give it a chance tomorrow, just for Mommy. After my yummalicous dinner, Mommy put me in her room so that she could have dinner. I was listening to some baroque classics and fell asleep in my snuggly crate. When she was done eating I was asked to come out to play but decided to rollover onto my back instead. You'll see from the pictures that Mommy proceeded to rub my belly and scratch my ears while I enjoyed every second of it. Grampa came down to observe and make fun of me because I'm a sleepy head. Grandma came down and showed me how much she loves me by squeezing me and cuddling me so hard that Mommy had to scold her. That's Grandma in the pink jammies. The best part was when Auntie came with cousin Rufus. Cousin Rufus is a pomeranian. He looks funny because he had a haircut and it is beginning to grow in now. We sniffed at each other in all the appropriate places and while I tried to play with him, he kept growling. I understand though, his parents are going through a divorce and he blames himself. I can tell he likes me because he is willing to share his toys. I guess it is just a matter of time before he is taken by my wit and charm. I'm tired now but before I retire to the Den, just wanted to tell everyone that Mommy came home and found puddles of pee pee and multiple piles of doodie.....on the pee pad!!!! She was sooooo happy! However, I did leave grandma a present in her room just now. Not my fault! She didn't have any defecation accessories available! Okay, off to dream about buffets! I Love Human Resources!

Monday Explorations

Today I wreaked havoc in Mommy's room so she took me for a walk. Twice. Although I'm not allowed to play with other dogs or play in the same areas as them, Mommy is allowed to carry me around outside so that I can see the world out there. The first time we went in the morning it was a bit rainy and I didn't like it. We ended up sitting in the front porch for a little bit so that I could watch people passing by. Mommy decided it was enough when I tried to jump off the porch, she was afraid I was going to break something. When it had stopped raining in the afternoon we went for a longer walk around the block. I was eager to jump down and run around but I wasn't allowed to. I was only a bit frightended when a great big grumpy boxer barked at me. He was in a neighbour's backyard. Oh! I did something that I have never done before. I climbed a whole flight of stairs! Mommy was so impressed with me but I'm not allowed to go up by myself. When grampa was playing with me I tried to escape by running down the stairs. He caught me right away. Geez! All these rules! Aside from that, my peepad training is going semi-well, I pee on the pad most times but I have never doodied on them yet. I keep forgetting! I had a couple of naps today, played with some new toys and Mommy is studying for an exam so she is trying to make notes and play fetch with me. She also said that she would read over my blog for me on her break.

Sunday Poopie Sunday

A nice relaxing Sunday. For me at least. Mommy was frustrated today because I'll pee pee on the pee pad but not Doodie on it. She tried everything, even when she saw me squatting to go she would pick me up and put me on the pad but I'm a stubborn pup and refused to go. Instead I ran away and doodied near the door and then behind the chair for a second time. Heeheeheehee. I keep forgetting that if I go on the pad she will reward me...must...remember...next....what was I saying again? Anyway, I frolicked a bit in the backyard and there were so many yummy things to eat but Mommy wouldn't allow it. What a party pooper! Well, aside from that I took many naps and danced in front of the webcam for Poppa, we miss him! Sniff sniff, I love nipping at his feet! Well, time to nap again! Have a great week! Saturday's Adventure To and From Dr. Judy's Office

Yawwwn! What a day! Last night we went to bed at about 11:30pm. Mommy and Poppa were very proud of how well I slept. I didn't howl or cry, although I whimpered a couple of times during the night. Mainly it was because I wanted to go on the bed with them and they wouldn't allow me to. Each time I whimpered they would tickle my head or my side and I would fall back asleep, no matter how hard I tried not to. This morning Mommy and I woke up at 7:30am and had breakfast. She was horrified that I ate so quickly and then started hiccupping. After breakfast and some playtime, Mommy, Poppa and Grandpa took me to Dr. Judy. For the first part of the car ride I kept crying because I was so stressed out, I had know idea where we were going so I peed on my blue fleece by accident. I finally settled down at first and snuggled up to Poppa. When we finally arrived at the clinic, I was a little scared because there where so many people there oohing and ahhing about how cute I am. First they weighed me and said that I was just under five pounds, that made me blush a bit but I had no time to dwell on that as they scooped me up and into the examination room. Dr. Judy gave me a biscuit as she talked to Mommy about caring for me. She also said that I had very strong knees, nice teeth, a perfect bite, a beautiful puppy coat and that I was exhibiting true terrier traits! I have a clean bill of health thus far. I brought them a gift in the form of a fecal sample and they said that they will call Mommy about that on Monday. Dr.Judy also ensured Mommy that the hicupping was okay and it was in fact because I was wolfing down the food too quickly. I keep forgetting that I don't have any brothers to compete with anymore! After that Dr.Judy let me meet the Chihuahua named RP who is her boss. Martha the Mastiff is the resident boss of the clinic and because she was so big I was a bit shy around her. We said a quick hello and then were on our way again. On the way back home, we had to go into a car dealership to buy something for the car. Mommy brought me into the washroom with her, and as she was washing her hands, I went doodie on the floor in front of a stall. Oops. Mommy quickly cleaned it up but I could tell she was embarassed. Sorry! I couldn't hold it! I'm only five pounds! We then got back into the car and then I needed to go pee since I forgot to go when I went doodie so I climbed into Mommy's lap to tell her but then I couldn't hold it anymore and went all over Mommy's dress. I felt bad so I ran to other side of the car buried my face into the seat cushions and pretended to sleep. Mommy wasn't mad at me though because she knew it wasn't my fault. When we got home Mommy enrolled me for pet insurance, had a bath and I napped. Then I woke up and played fetch and then we started to watch the basketball game but then we both fell asleep for almost three hours! Since then I've had dinner, played, had my fur brushed, my teeth brushed (mmmm! Yummy poultry flavoured toothpaste!), my ears cleaned, and my paws and body wiped with baby wipes, practiced how to "Sit" on command, and explored the kitchen and living room. I'm pooped! Right now I am listening to Pachabel's Canon in D Major and getting ready for bed. Til next time!

Home Sweet Home

Well I'm finally in Toronto with Mommy! Today Pauline drove me and my brothers to Yorkdale where Mommy came to pick me up. We were sitting in our pink stroller and as soon as Mommy saw us she came running. She was very happy to see me. Grandpa was supposed to wait in the car but he too couldn't wait to see me and hold me. I was pretty frightened at first but Mommy cuddled me in a blue fleece blanket which calmed me down for a while. Grandpa stopped at a pharmacy and while he was in there, Mommy took me to the trunk so that she could find me a treat. Pauline had given us a piece of fleece that had my family's scent on it so Mommy placed me down on it while she looked for the Mother Hubbard's P-Nutter treat. I got so excited I went doodie all over it. Mommy was stunned for a moment but managed to recover in time so that she could remove the fleece and that the smell didn't permeate the trunk. Then she cleaned me up with some baby wipes and next thing I knew we were on our way home again. When we got home I explored our room and marked a few spots just to make sure it was MY room. Mommy is very pleased that I have started using the pee pads right away. Although I did leave her a few surprises. We had quite the afternoon after meeting Aunt Hannie, I had about three sessions of fetch and two nap times. Before dinner (my favorite time), Mommy gave me my first bath. I was so scared of the water and Mommy was afraid of stressing me out so she made it very quick. Now I'm fluffy and fantabulous! For dinner, I had a meal made up of 90% Cesar (turkey flavour) and 10% of Orijen kibbles. Yum Yum Yummy! Mommy was amazed how quickly I inhaled everything, I don't know why, Pauline did warn her! Oh, I almost forgot! For peeing on the pad Mommy rewards me with mini liver treats, I love them! Grandma came home after dinner and straight away has promised to spoil me and feed me. Mommy is very unhappy about this and is going to watch me very closely when Grandma is around. At about 7:30pm Poppa came to see me. I looooove his toes! I can't stop nipping at them. I really like his socks too but I can do without them! Daddy is so much fun to chase around and thinks my ziggie looks like a cigar when it isn't in my Kong. Well, I've had a long day and I have to see Dr. Judy tomorrow, so good night, sleep tight!

The Countdown begins!

Hello world, it's Hubie. I'm very young and small so this blogging thing is completely new to me. I'll have to figure this out slowly as I grow. Mommy can't really help me much since she does not have her own blog. I can't wait to go home to Mommy, but in the mean time I am being pre-spoiled for her. Right now I'm just trying to spend as much time cuddling with my brothers and Westie parents as I can. I'm almost three hours away from Toronto but in exactly 17 days, I will be snuggling up in Mommy's arms.
