That is how old I am now. Wow, what a week and a half! Last weekend was the Victoria Day long weekend. I don't know what that is but I do know that Mommy and Poppa spent a lot of time with me. We went for a long walk around the block and then they took me to this park area that belongs to a long-term care facility. I was not allowed on the grassy areas unless Mommy was carrying me. All the smells had me happily curious the whole time. My favorite part was when the three of us sat in a nice shady gazebo for a rest. Mommy decided it was time to go when I started eating the bench and all the tree stuff that had fallen on it. Remember those piggens? Well Mommy says they are pigeons, pigs are another thing all together. Well, I saw these two really big long-necked things called Canadian Geez or Juice or something. They were very noisy and kinda frightening. Mommy didn't want to get to close because a doggy belonging to her friend was chased by one once. Honestly though, she should ot have worried, I would've wrangled them by the neck. The next day we were all sleepy so we just hung out and watched tv. Poppa was naughty and bought a big giant grape slurpee from the store down the street. He had it on the coffee table which is glass and I wanted a taste so badly that I jumped twice at it from underneath. Let me tell you, it doesn't work. I bumped my little furry head not once but twice! Sooooo embarassing, Mommy, Poppa and Auntie laughed and lauged. Also, it was a quiet two weeks because Cousin Rufus was at his other Mommy's house. They have joint custard or something like that. Mmmm....custard......This past week Mommy and I went through some meal time battles. I was getting pills in peanut butter and refused to eat my Orijen without it so Mommy was mixing it. Then she stopped and because I was so hungry I ate it anyway, not half bad really. However, she is still soaking it in hot water and then allowing it to cool. Once grandpa soaked it in warmish water and I refused to eat it. It just didn't smell the same way. On Thursday Mommy spent the night at Poppa's house and Grandma puppysat me. We had fun but I missed Mommy very much. On Friday, Mommy and Poppa took me to see Dr.Judy, my second time! They were very proud of me because it was my first time on the TTC and I was so well behaved. When we first got on the bus I was a bit timid because it was so loud. I sat in Mommy's lap and sniffed the air as hard as I could. On the subway (we went twenty stops! I think...) I lounged in Mommy's lap again and chewed on my frozen toy the whole time. When we got to Pape Station we got off and walked four blocks to Dr. Judy's office. I was so excited that Mommy only had to carry me when we saw Piggen, I mean Pigeon doodie and freshly cut grass (mmm....). At the office I ran into a cat named Bobby and a St.Bernese Mountain dog named Ruben. We made nice but then I was scooped into the examination room. Dr.Judy said I had nice teeth (not like Cousin Rufus....Shhhh.......) and she talked to Mommy about stuff while I sniffed around for a cookie. She gave me a piece but then pricked me in the bum twice! It didn't really hurt really, I have a muscular bum you know. But anyway, I don't like surprises like that. Mommy bought some gummy worm preventation medication for me and then we were on our way home! I walked the four blocks to the station again. Along the way we ran into a nice little old lady who asked me if I thought I was in the West Highlands.....hello! I don't see any grassy hills! I'm small but my brain is not! I forgave her because she was as cute as me. Near the station I met a baby in a stroller and decided to give him kisses on his hands. On the subway going home I curled up in Mommy's lap and went to sleep. When we got to our stop I refused to open my eyes, pretending not to hear Mommy. She had to carry me onto the bus where I woke up and started to play with Mommy's handle on her bag. It was so exciting that I hadn't peed in over two hours! As soon as we got home I ran straight to the pee pad and opened the flood gates. As soon as that was done I ran straight to my crate and slept. Mommy then spent Friday and Saturday night at Poppa's while Grandma and Auntie watched me. I was soooo tired from the bum prickles and the adventure to Dr.Judy's office that I gave them no trouble at all. Auntie said that I was an angel. Most of the time I wanted to sleep. Mommy was a psycho and called every few hours to check up on me. Geez, no independence at all! Last night Cousin Rufus came back. We are very happy to see each other. He is starting to play with me now, we were even sunbathing together today. At dinner tonight he stole a quarter of my dinner. I didn't mind sharing because I was full but Mommy was afraid that he might get a tummy ache and soupy poopie. We'll just have to wait and see. I'll fill you in!

Hi Autumn!
How are you Autumn? I'm so sorry that I haven't written in a week! It has been kind of a rough week for me. Last weekend I started getting soupy poopie about ten to twelve times a day because my tummy was hurting so bad. Mommy wasn't sure if it was a parasite, bad food, or puppy sickness. So she called Dr. Judy's office for the millionth time in the past couple of weeks. Deb the vet tech gave me anti-soupy poopie pills to take for a week. Once at breakfast and once at dinner time. Mommy was hiding it in ham for me but then I started to become picky with my Orijen kibble. I didn't want to eat it anymore, I just wanted ham! Then, on Tuesday whenever Mommy or anyone else would go near my cheeks, chin, or jaw I would cry and yell because it hurt. I wouldn't eat or play so once again we called Dr.Judy. Dr.Judy probably thinks Mommy is a crazy person for calling so much. Anyway, turns out that I am teething. So the next day Mommy bought a toy for me that we can soak in water and then freeze. It is for me to chew on so that my gums will be soothed. I like it a lot it is colourful with long things at the end that are fun to bite. Well, Mommy took me off of the ham. Instead, she is hiding the pills in peanut butter. I have always known that the pills are there, I just want the treat that comes with it. Well, you'll be happy to know that I only go doodie once or twice a day now. No more soupy poopie. Mommy is still taking me on plenty of walks and for some reason I don't like walking the first half and Mommy always has to carry me, but I love walking the last half. Maybe because I know that we're going home!!! Yesterday Mommy let me play in the common areas for a very long time. I've been allowed on Auntie's bed whenever I want, and yesterday slept on the leather sofa in the living room while Mommy watched tv for the first time in over two weeks! We both enjoyed ourselves very much! She even let me run around the dining room, living room and kitchen. Whenever I think I'm alone for just a second, I'll turn around and Mommy is staring right at me! How annoying! Also, when Mommy was having dinner yesterday she didn't want me staring so she put me on the deck to play. I liked it out there because I can smell the backyard, other animals and the cooking from others in the neighbourhood. Well Autumn, I'm quite dirty right now with peanut butter stuck to my face which Mommy couldn't wipe off yet due to my teething, but I'm hoping that you'll visit me anyway. Mommy said that you drew a poster for me. I can't wait to see it! I'll hang it right above my crate where I sleep. It is a long weekend so I'll see lots of Mommy and Poppa this weekend. I'm so excited, they said that they are going to take me on the TTC for a bus ride! I'll let you know how it goes! Mommy will try to get some photographs of it but I've been kinda camera shy lately. Well, have a good day! Bye!

Hello again, I've been meaning to blog since Thursday but I kept falling asleep early. I've been eating a lot of food again lately. I'm still on Cesar and snacking on Orijen all day long. One night Mommy forgot to take it away at bedtime so I got up every hour to eat and then poop. Mommy looked ghoulish in the morning. Heeheeheehee. Yesterday (Thursday) in the evening Mommy's friend Chi came over to visit me. She kept telling me that I am sooooo precious. She even bought a Kong for me and it came with a Ziggie treat with it. She bought me a medium so I have to wait until I'm about ten pounds heavier to use it. That's okay, I have a small one right now that I am chewing on. Anyway, after a half hour they left to go have dinner. I waited up for Mommy, she was gone soooo long that I got a little peeved. Grandma and Grampa played with me for a while so I felt better. Auntie came home and played with me too. I was about to text message Mommy and tell her to stay away but then she came in with presents!!!!!! She got me a soft moon toy that rattles, squeaks and has a rope on it! She also got me a red harness and leash so that I don't have to wear that awkward body bra anymore! It has a little bell on it and I think I heard Mommy and Auntie snickering about how it was for a cat or something. I don't buy it, I refuse to buy it. Since when do cats get walked on a leash anyway? Besides, I rather like the bell. I wore it today. At first it was throwing me off my game because I could no longer be stealth, but at least everyone will know that some cuteness is about to come through. Poppa is here tonight. After dinner Mommy and Poppa took Cousin Rufus and I for a walk. Rufus is playing with me more and more everyday. The Parentals were super happy with me because I am finally walking more than two steps at a time. They even took a video of it. Sooo embarassing. After the walk, Mommy's cousin Autumn came to visit me. We were on webcam a couple of nights ago but I met her for the first time tonight. She is only six and is so cute and little. Kind of like me! She played squeaky toys with me. She whipped a toy in my face really hard once and I got really upset but I didn't want to be petty or anything. I shook it off and tried to steal the sock off her foot. Mommy made me "Settle." She learned this move to put me on my back and make me submit. Argh! She told Poppa that she learned it at work from Michelina's or something. Since when do they put dog training instructions on the back of frozen entrees????

Time for Recovery
So I've been eating Cesar again and feeling great! Mommy has to feed it to me for breakfast and dinner. She places the Orijen out for me to graze on all day. I was told not to get used to it because I will be weaned from the Cesar when I am a little bit older. Right! Remember who won the last strike! I no longer have soupy poopie but Mommy is still not completely happy with my doodie. Man! The lady is obsessed with doodie. So last night I really offended Cousin Rufus. He refused to play with me for a while but then he started acting really happy. His girlfriend Ellie was there and he started to jump on her. I thought it was a game and he had what Mommy calls his "lipstick" out. I went to bite it because I thought it was a toy! He growled at me and tried to bite my little ears off! I still don't know what the big deal is! He should put the lipstick away if he doesn't want anyone near it! This morning I got to wake Auntie up because Mommy let me on her bed to kiss her and stick my paw up her nostril. Mommy won't let me on her own bed but everyone else lets me go wherever I want. That's okay, I like my crate anyway. After we woke Auntie up to get ready for work Mommy and I walked cousin Rufus. I had to wear the silly leather body bra again but I was really not in the mood for walking. Mommy had to carry me in her left arm and walked Rufus using her right arm. I was telling Rufus to eliminate asap because I wanted to get back inside, listen to Jack Johnson and have my early morning nap. Rufus chose to roll around in the grass as long as possible. I was soooo jealous. I can't wait to get near that stuff but Mommy says that Dr. Judy advised her not to allow me to until I get all my shots. This is because I can pick yucky things up from other doggy's doodie. When Mommy got off work today she went to have dinner with Poppa before coming home. That means Grandma fed me Cesar for dinner. I loooove Grandma, I always get my way with her. Today however, she was strict about not giving me anything more than my food. Tonight I am super hungry so I have been eating my Orijen to Mommy's content. I'm sooo sleepy now because I was giving Mommy a hard time when she tried to brush my fur. Well, only for a little bit until I realized how good it felt. Also, I was climbing the stairs again and again for the fun of it. I had a good workout today. Oh! I also started playing with my Kong and taking treats out of it. Before I couldn't figure out how the thing worked, it was just frustrating. By the way, Cousin Rufus pees on a boot tray covered with newspaper. To Mommy and Grampa's amusement I pee peed on it when I was upstairs in the kitchen. Mommy said that I am so smart. I think I upset Grampa when I tried to eat the newspaper though. Geez! I'm just trying to catch up from not eating all weekend. Right now I'm trying to concentrate on this blog but Mommy is eating corn and I really want some.....mmm.........

Dear Ms.Lauren Cochran...
...all you need to do is ask and I shall blog. Sorry! Mommy made me write that. I was unable to blog all weekend because I was a very sick pup. I wanted Mommy to type while I dictated but she wasn't having any of that. Anyway, on Saturday morning Mommy had to go to her very exciting Labour Relations class and then to Poppa's apartment for a few hours. In the meantime grandma was supposed to be looking after me. She did a good job except when it was time for dinner. Yum yum yummy! In addition to what Mommy had pre-measured and set aside, Grandma topped up my supper with an extra serving of Cesar! It was supposed to be my second last day eating it but Grandma felt sorry that I had only dry kibble to eat. Anyway, when Mommy got home she didn't suspect a thing. I was super happy to see her and for the first time my ears went back, Mommy said "like Yoda," who the heck is Yoda? I'm Hubie! Get it right! Oh, and my little tail was wagging so hard I almost fell over. Mommy loved it! Well, during the night I had to doodie (ya like that one Cochran??) seven or eight times. It wasn't even regular doodie, it was soupy poopie! Poor Mommy. She was so worried, especially when I crawled into her lap and snuggled against her belly and passed out. Then I was so thirsty I kept drinking my water and then frew it up. So Mommy finally went to bed at 2:30am and then had to wake up at 5:30am to clean up more soupy poopie. Dr.Judy doesn't work on Sundays so we couldn't go but luckily I got a little better. Yesterday Mommy, Auntie, and Cousin Rufus took me on my first walk. I am uncertain about this whole walking business so I just stood around most of the time taking in the surroundings. Mommy had to carry me around. Mommy and Poppa had bought me a nice blue colar and leash set but the colar is too big on me still. Instead I have to wear a hand-me-down from Cousin Rufus. This black leather body bra harness thing. It's sooooooooo embarassing, and Mommy wonders why I don't want to go outside. Auntie implied that I look like part of the Village People. Today Mommy had to go to work, I hate Mondays. Last night I only ate about six kibbles so Mommy was really worried about my hunger strike and soupy poopie even though I am going less often. At about 7:30pm she called Dr. Judy's office and spoke to the Vet Tech Deb who also consulted with Dr. Judy. They were concerned that I wasn't eatingt for more than eighteen hours but were glad to hear that I am still alert and playful. In the end Mommy was told to keep feeding me the Cesar mixed with the Orijen. SCORE!!!! Yesterday was supposed to be the last day of Cesar. Mommy is upset because she says Cesar is full of fillers and is also intended for grown-up dogs. So that is what I had for dinner. I ate all of Cesar and only some of Orijen. Heeheeheehee! Anyway, earlier when Mommy got home she took me on another walk and again I felt awkward and had her carry me most of the time. We also sat on the porch for a while which I loved because I was able to watch everyone from up high and then I spotted these funny looking things that were grey, ugly, and noisy. Mommy says they are piggens or something. I feel such a strong desire to chase them away! I really don't like them! After our walk I helped Mommy read her fun book called "Canadian Industrial Relations" Although I found the history of the Canadian Labour Movement thoroughly interesting I couldn't keep my little eyelids open so I fell asleep in Mommy's arms. I'm fairly tired now but wanted to write something for Mr. Ed and his owner to read. I hope you have enjoyed this update! I also hope that you like the pictures! They were taken by Mommarazzi.

TGIF!
Thank God it's Friday and Mommy and Poppa were able to stay home with me all day! Well, almost. This morning after my breakfast and yet another failed attempt to play with Cousin Rufus I settled down a bit and Mommy went back to sleep for another two hours. By the way, last night I tried to play with Rufus but he was salivating and foaming at the mouth! Auntie was so worried that she took him upstairs. Shortly after that he stopped drooling. Apparently he only gets that way when he is around me. Grandma says that he is jealous of me. Me! A little furry white bundle! Well, I'll keep trying. Poppa came over at about one o'clock and then decided to return the exercise pen to Crappy Tire. Boy was I excited!!! To my disappointment however, they returned with a baby gate and two little shelves. Mommy wants to keep the bedroom door open so the air circulates but doesn't want me to climb the stairs and roam the house by myself yet. Hence the baby gate. The little shelves are for under her desk, strategically placed above the vent so that I don't pee pee or doodie there. After that Mommy let me play with Cousin Rufus's I-Cube toy. It's a big plush cube with squeaky toys stuffed in them. I haven't figured out how to get them out just yet. Instead I just bite and drag around the whole cube. After that Mommy put down these two weird dog like things that walk around awkwardly and have weird music coming out of their heads. I didn't know how to react to them so you know, I just played it cool. With so much excitement and horseplay today, all I can think about is that comfortable crate and a fleece blanket. Tomorrow Mommy has to go to school (on a Saturday!!!) so Grandma promised to watch me. Heeheehee, she is soooo mine tomorrow!

Today I Am Nine Weeks Old!
I'm nine weeks old today! That means I'm one week bigger and Mommy says one week more smelly! That's because I tested out that exercise pen today and she didn't like what she came home to. I pee peed and doodied all on the pee pad but then I accidently tossed my toys onto the pad due to lack of space in the play pen. Anyway, when I dragged them out they were covered in doodie and so was the floor and so was my orthopedic bed inside the crate. By the time Mommy got home the doodie was dried and caked on the floor. She tossed all my belongings, blankets, bed coverings, toys and rug into the washer, scrubbed the floor and changed the pee pad, all the while I had to sit in the crate. Just when I thought she was done she took me and made me have a bath! How rude! So what if my paws and belly were covered in doodie, no one asked her to rub me there! Well lets go back to the beginning of my ninth week, this morning. Cousin Rufus came downstairs with his leash and harness on ready to go for a walk. However, Auntie forgot something so she went back upstairs to get it. In the meantime I offered to walk him. I really did, I have proof in pictures! It was a shame he refused. Oh well, his loss really. While he was gone I got to jump into his toy basket and take ownership of anything that I wanted. There was this schnauzer like looking thing, Mommy says his name is Toby and she was the one who had originally given it to Rufus. At first I wasn't sure if it was real or not but after some testing I realized it was unresponsive. I taught it a good lesson! When I was done playing I even offered to take Mommy on a walk. I pulled and tugged at the end of her dress but I don't think she got the message. Humans are so hard to train, you just need to persevere I guess and then eventually they learn what we need them to do. Well, I think Mommy is returning the play pen tomorrow since it didn't seem to work. At least I didn't try to eat the pee pad. Mommy says that she will buy a baby gate for me tomorrow so that she doesn't have to shut the bedroom door when she goes to work and so the air will circulate better. Under Mommy's desk there is a vent that is actually an air exchange (I overheard Grandpa talking about it) and I've relieved myself there a couple of times. So now Mommy is trying to outsmart me by trying to figure out what she can use to block off the area without covering up the vent. If you have any ideas please do not let her know!
